Creative Video spent the third weekend in February videotaping Penn State’s 48 Hour Dance Marathon. ”THON” raised $4,214,748.18
benefitting The Four Diamonds Fund at the Hershey Medical Center. The dollar amount collected set a new student run philanthropy world record. “THON” has raised over 37 million since it ’s inception 34 years ago.

Five weeks later it was up the turnpike to Rutgers University, where after 32 hours on their feet $186,665.77 was collected for the kids. Rutgers Dance Marathon fund-raising efforts have totaled $1,083,000 over the last eight years. Rutgers Dance Marathon raises money for The Institute for Children with Cancer & Blood Disorders which is affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital and The Cancer Institute of New Jersey.

Creative Video wants to congratulate and thank both universities for the privilege of producing their Dance Marathon Souvenir Videos. It was our 15th & 16th college dance marathon since 1994! Keep up the great work. FTK

Cadets Win World Championship!

CreativeVideo is hard at work editing the 2005 World Champion Cadets Summer Tour DVD “THE ZONE”. Spending three weeks this summer with the Cadets, it was a special experience to watch firsthand the early trials and tribulations of the corps transpire midseason into a quiet confidence leading to the highest score in DCI history and a sweep of all captions.

Taking new steps of innovation along with a work ethic that was second to none, this talented group of performers could not wait each day to make themselves the best they could possibly be. Knowing in this activity that perfection cannot ever be reached, the journey ended with The Cadets finding “THE ZONE” the last week of the season finishing a fingernail away from perfection.

This behind-the-scenes documentary is a must see for the new innovations in drum corps performance, how they were accomplished and all the behind-the-music stories. This DVD is now available to order at YEA.org and will ship the first week of October.
